HRDS to build 133 houses in Poonch within six months: LG Manoj Sinha

KINS Desk

Jammu, Nov 21 (KINS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday said that the Human Resource Development Society (HRDS), an NGO, will construct 133 houses in Poonch, to be completed within six months.

Speaking to reporters during his visit to the district, as per news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS), the LG said the initiative is aimed at supporting families whose homes were damaged during cross-border shelling.

He said that the administration had stood with affected families from the very beginning. “You all remember that when our neighbour fired, many people were injured. At that time, the administration supported them. Fourteen individuals from thirteen families were given government jobs when the Home Minister visited,” he said.

He said that Poonch administration has identified 133 houses, and HRDS will construct them within a six- month timeframe.

The LG assured that the government remains committed to rehabilitating all affected families and rebuilding damaged infrastructure in the region.(KINS)
