Div Com Kashmir inaugurates Centre of Excellence for e-Governance at RTO Office
SRINAGAR, JUNE 18: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, along with Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, today inaugurated the Centre of Excellence for E-Governance (CSC) established by the District Administration Srinagar at the Regional Transport Office (RTO) Srinagar.
Transport Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan, RTO Kashmir, Qazi Irfan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz, IAS Probationer, Alfred Thomas, Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, SDM West, Irfan Bahadur, ARTO Headquarters, Mehnaz Chisti, District Coordinator CSC, Asrar Shiraz, State Coordinator UIDAI, Shoaib Ahmad, along with other Officers of the District Administration Srinagar, CSC and the Regional Transport Office were present on the inaugural ceremony.
The Centre of Excellence has been set up with the objective of strengthening public service delivery and improving citizen convenience in the District and providing efficient facilitation to the public through improved access to various Government services.
The Divisional Commissioner while inspecting the centre, appreciated the initiative of the District Administration and emphasized the importance of leveraging digital platforms to enhance service delivery, improve accessibility and strengthen e-Governance across the District.
He stated that the centre would function as a comprehensive one-stop digital hub, ensuring transparent, efficient, and hassle-free access to government schemes and transport-related services and help citizens to avail services of different nature under one roof.
Deputy Commissioner said that the Centre of Excellence for E-Governance is envisioned as a model facility for integrated public service delivery and digital empowerment of citizens, particularly at the Regional Transport Office, which witnesses significant public footfall.
Earlier, the District Manager, CSC Srinagar, briefed the officers about the facilities and services being offered through the Centre. He informed that dedicated counters have been established for Aadhaar-related services, Government-to-Citizen (G2C) services, RTO-related services, banking services, and insurance services.
