MP Ruhullah Mehdi convenes Public Darbar at Awantipora
PULWAMA, JUNE 18: Member of Parliament, Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency, Agha Syed Ruhullah Mehdi today convened a Public Darbar at Town Hall Awantipora to hear public grievances and developmental concerns of the people.
During the interaction, delegations from various areas of Awantipora and adjoining regions, besides representatives of trade bodies, social organizations, welfare & development forums, Auqaf committees, senior citizens and other stakeholders participated in the event. The suggestions and demands put forth during the Public Darbar pertained to various sectors.
Addressing the gathering, the Member of Parliament assured the participants that issues requiring policy-level intervention would be taken up at appropriate forums, including forthcoming sessions of Parliament.
On the occasion, he also directed officers of the concerned departments to take prompt action on genuine grievances and issues raised during the interaction and ensure their timely redressal.
The Public Darbar witnessed participation from the public and various stakeholders. District and sectoral officers from different departments were also present on the occasion.
