First batch of Amarnath Yatra pilgrims leaves Jammu for Kashmir under tight security

Jammu, July 02 (KINS): The first batch of Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 pilgrims departed from the Amarnath Yatri Niwas Base Camp at Bhagwati Nagar in Jammu and proceeded towards Srinagar under a multi-layered security cover. Earlier, Manoj Sinha flagged off the pilgrims, describing the annual pilgrimage as a profound journey of spiritual awakening. He said every step towards the holy cave shrine of Baba Barfani reflects unwavering faith and complete surrender to Lord Shiva. The Lieutenant Governor wished all devotees a safe, peaceful and spiritually enriching pilgrimage and prayed for Lord Shiva’s blessings on everyone.(KINS)
