CM Omar Abdullah condemns Kulgam killings, announces 10 Lakh Ex-Gratia for families of slain labourers

rinagar, Aug 1 (KINS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday strongly condemned the killing of two labourers in Kulgam, describing the incident as a heinous act, and announced an ex-gratia relief of ₹10 lakh each from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for the families of the victims.
The Chief Minister said the financial assistance from the CMRF would be in addition to the ₹6 lakh immediate relief already being provided by the district administration.
Expressing deep grief over the loss of innocent lives, Omar Abdullah extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and assured them of the government’s full support during this difficult time.
He also prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and wished strength and courage to the families to cope with the irreparable loss.(KINS)
