Srinagar, Sep 08 (KINS): Mirzapur actors Pankaj Tripathi and Divyenndu have said Jammu and Kashmir has immense potential for regional cinema, with its local stories, culture and emerging talent offering fresh opportunities for filmmakers.
Speaking on the sidelines of the International Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir (IFFJK) at SKICC, the actors praised their experience in Kashmir, including its food and interaction with locals.
They said the region’s cinematic potential extends beyond its scenic beauty, with theatres, OTT platforms and a growing digital ecosystem creating new opportunities for young artists.
The actors also encouraged aspiring filmmakers to make the most of film festivals and masterclasses, saying such platforms provide valuable opportunities to learn from experienced professionals.
They expressed hope that filmmakers would explore Kashmir’s people, culture, food and everyday life through stories, noting that the region’s long association with cinema could now evolve into deeper and more locally rooted filmmaking.(KINS)
