Jammu, Sep 09 (KINS): Police have registered a case against two persons after a Class 7 student was allegedly abducted and sexually assaulted in the Mendhar area of Poonch district.
The case as per news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) was registered under FIR No. 95/2026 at Police Station Gursai under Sections 70(2), 127(3) and 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Sections 3 and 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Police have initiated an investigation into the matter, and further legal action is underway. Details regarding the circumstances of the incident are awaited. (KINS)
