Another Bear Attack Reported in Tral Amid Wildlife Department’s Awareness Efforts

Tral, 11 Sept (KINS): A woman was injured after being attacked by a bear in the Handoora area of Aripal, Tral, on Friday.

The woman, identified as Hajira, wife of Ghulam Ahmad Khan, a resident of Handoora, Aripal, was shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Tral for treatment following the attack.

Several bear attacks have been reported in different areas of the sub-district over the past few weeks, raising concern among residents.

The incidents have been reported amid continued efforts by the Wildlife Department to prevent human-wildlife conflicts through awareness programmes and other measures. (KINS)
