Srinagar May 05 (KINS):The body of a man from Sopore, who had been missing since April 26 from Maisuma, was found in the Jhelum River near Veer Chattabal area of Srinagar this morning, according to officials.
Identified as Irshad Ahmad Mir, he was recognized by his family after the body was retrieved from the river. Initially, there were reports suggesting the body belonged to a Srinagar man who drowned in a boat accident near Gandabal area last month.
