Police Seize Property of Self-Styled Terrorist Commander in Shopian

Srinagar, May 22: In an ongoing crackdown on the terror ecosystem, police have seized the property, including land and a partial residential house, belonging to a self-styled terrorist commander in Shopian.
Under the supervision of SSP Shopian, Tanushree-IPS, and in collaboration with revenue authorities, the police attached the property of Abid Ramzan Sheikh, also known as Saifullah or Khalid. Sheikh, a resident of Chotipora Shopian, owned 1 kanal and 10 marlas of land under survey No. 1165 in Chotipora Shopian, along with a partial residential house.
Sheikh is involved in numerous terror-related cases in Shopian and neighboring districts. He has been actively instigating and motivating local youth to join terrorist ranks. This measure was deemed necessary due to his persistent involvement in terrorism and his detrimental influence on the area’s youth.
The police remain committed to taking such actions in the future to eradicate terrorism and maintain peace and security in the valley.
