Omar Abdullah makes emotional Plea to Ganderbal voters, Removes cap & appeals for support

Srinagar, Sep 04 (KINS): On Wednesday, National Conference (NC) vice president and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah made an emotional appeal to voters in Ganderbal, Central Kashmir.
During a nomination filing event, Abdullah removed his cap and, with folded hands, urged residents to elect him from the Ganderbal Assembly seat in the upcoming elections.
Speaking to supporters, Abdullah asked for a single opportunity to serve the people of Ganderbal. He emphasized the importance of the election, stating, “My cap, my turban, and my honor are in your hands.”
Ganderbal is scheduled to vote on September 25, as part of the three-phased Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI). The election phases are set for September 18, September 25, and October 1, with the vote count scheduled for October 8.
Abdullah, visibly emotional, appealed to his party workers to campaign vigorously and maintain faith, saying, “If we hold onto a single rope and keep our belief in Allah, success is ours.” His heartfelt plea was met with enthusiastic responses and tears from some supporters, with the atmosphere charged with party slogans and fervor.(KINS)
