624 new BSF recruits complete training, take oath at passing out parade in Udhampur

Udhampur/Jammu, Oct 5 ( KINS) : A total of 624 recruits of the Border Security Force (BSF) successfully completed 44 weeks of rigorous basic training and took the oath to serve the nation at an attestation-cum-passing out parade in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, on Saturday.
The ceremony was held at the Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) and was presided over by Inspector General of BSF, STC Udhampur, Rajesh Kumar Gurung, who praised the high standard of training received by the recruits, hailing from Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and West Bengal.
In his address, Gurung expressed confidence that the new constables would carry out their duties with honesty and efficiency, bringing pride to both the force and their families.
Recruit Constable Boya Mahesh Kiran commanded the parade. Several recruits were honored for their outstanding performance: Khetry Kisan secured the overall first position, Dwarapudi Damodararao took the second, while Boya Mahesh Kiran was recognized as the best in drill, Gangula Kranti Kumar as the best firer, and Boya Attada Saibabu for endurance.
The event also showcased various cultural performances, including martial arts, West Bengal’s ‘lathi khela,’ Odisha’s Sambalpuri dance, and a patriotic program presented by students from Common Public School and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Udhampur. The parade concluded with a captivating performance by the BSF band, which left the audience enthralled, according to a spokesperson of the force.( KINS)
