Gulmarg Development Authority issues advisory on transportation of materials

Gulmarg, Dec 24 (KINS): The Gulmarg Development Authority (GDA) has issued an advisory regarding the transportation of construction materials and goods within its jurisdiction.
The advisory, aimed at ensuring proper management and compliance, outlines several restrictions and guidelines for stakeholders.
As per the advisory, a copy of which lies with news agency KINS, vehicles carrying construction materials beyond Tangmarg are permitted only between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with Sunday designated as a “dry day,” during which no vehicle carrying any material will be allowed beyond Tangmarg.
The advisory further mandates that all executing agencies involved in public construction projects must ensure the proper utilization of materials strictly for approved purposes. Any misuse of construction materials will result in action against the concerned department’s officials or officers.
Additionally, stakeholders are strictly prohibited from transporting goods or essential commodities during restricted times and on Sundays. Personal or passenger vehicles carrying any material within Gulmarg’s jurisdiction are also prohibited, and violators will face legal action.
For the use of heavy machinery such as JCBs or excavators, departments must approach the GDA office for necessary approvals.
“This advisory is issued in the interest of ensuring compliance and maintaining order within Gulmarg’s jurisdiction,” stated the GDA in its official communication.
The GDA has urged all stakeholders to adhere to the advisory to avoid legal consequences and facilitate smooth operations in the region. (KINS)
