No Assembly can undo SC verdict on Article 370: BJP Leader Sunil Sharma
Jammu, Mar 4 (KINS): Senior BJP leader and Leader of Opposition, Sunil Sharma, asserted on Monday that no legislative assembly in the country has the authority to overturn the Supreme Court’s verdict on the abrogation of Article 370.
He criticized ongoing discussions on the matter, calling them futile.
“Debating Article 370 is foolishness, as the Supreme Court has legitimized its abrogation. No Assembly in the country has the power to overturn the decision of Parliament,” Sharma told reporters as per KINS.
Taking a dig at Peoples Conference chairman and Handwara MLA Sajad Lone for walking out of the Assembly over Article 370, Sharma remarked, “His love for Pakistan has resurfaced because his in-laws are there.”
He further added, “Lone is frustrated after barely winning the elections and now finds himself alone in the Assembly.”(KINS)
