Oppn MLAs submit no confidence motion seeking removal of Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather

Srinagar, April 08: Several MLAs, including Sajad Gani Lone, Fayaz Ahmad Mir, and Rafiq Ahmad Naik, have submitted a no-confidence motion seeking the removal of Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather.

“We have submitted a no-confidence motion against the Hon’ble Speaker. He has become an impediment to voicing our opinion against the Waqf Bill. J&K is the only Muslim-majority province in India. History will hold us in contempt if we do not send a strong message against this bill,” Sajad Lone said, according to news agency KINS.
