Srinagar, April 8 (KINS):Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday chaired a high-level meeting at the Raj Bhawan in Srinagar to review the ongoing developmental projects in Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting was aimed at assessing the progress of key infrastructure and welfare initiatives under the central government’s development agenda for the Union Territory.
News agency KINS reported that Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha were present during the meeting. Senior officials from the central and state administrations also attended the session to provide updates on current projects and address implementation challenges.
Sources said the discussions focused on accelerating infrastructure growth, boosting tourism, improving connectivity, and enhancing welfare schemes across both Jammu and Kashmir regions. Amit Shah emphasized the Centre’s commitment to ensuring rapid and inclusive development in the Union Territory.
The Home Minister is also expected to meet with local delegations and review the security scenario during his visit.(KINS)
