DGP J&K Reviews Operational Preparedness in South Kashmir

Srinagar, April 20 (KINS):  The Director General of Police (DGP), Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Nalin Prabhat, IPS, concluded a comprehensive two-day tour of the South Kashmir Range to assess the operational preparedness of police and security forces in the region.

The visit included detailed operational reviews in the districts of Pulwama, Shopian, Kulgam, and Awantipora. The DGP also visited forward operational bases at Aripal and the Special Operations Group (SOG) camp in Tral, where he interacted with field personnel and reviewed the ground-level security arrangements.

During the tour, the DGP emphasized the need to strengthen the existing security grid, enhance inter-agency coordination, and intensify counter-terrorism efforts. He highlighted the importance of proactive security measures and public-friendly policing in maintaining peace and stability across the region.(KINS)
