Srinagar, June 20 (KINS: Khyber Cement has clinched multiple prestigious awards during the 34th Mines and Mineral Conservation Week, organised by the Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM) for the Dehradun Region, underscoring the company’s leadership in sustainable mining and environmental stewardship.
The cement major secured four accolades: First Prize in Mineral Conservation, First Prize in Reclamation and Rehabilitation, Third Prize in Sustainable Development, and Third Prize for Overall Performance. These recognitions reinforce Khyber Cement’s standing as a benchmark-setting enterprise committed to responsible industrial practices.
The awards were received by Riaz Tramboo, Director of Operations, and Myser Ahmed Khan, Chief of Mines, both instrumental in steering Khyber Cement’s operations towards environmental responsibility, scientific precision, and community-conscious growth.
