Amarnath Yatra enters 5th Day; ‘over 70,000 pilgrims have paid obeisance at the holy cave so far’
Srinagar, July 7 (KINS): The annual 38-day-long Amarnath Ji Yatra entered its fifth day today and continues to proceed smoothly from both the Nunwan-Pahalgam route in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district and the Baltal route in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
The Yatra is witnessing an atmosphere of joy and spiritual enthusiasm across Jammu and Kashmir. So far, around 70,000 devotees have paid obeisance at the Holy Cave Shrine, which is renowned for the naturally formed ice Shivlinga and is located at an altitude of 12,756 feet in the Himalayas.
Thousands of yatris are currently trekking through the twin routes, expressing satisfaction with the arrangements made by the administration. Pilgrims have praised the seamless facilities, including medical aid, food, shelter, and a well-secured environment provided along the journey.
Officials say that the pilgrimage is being monitored round the clock, with enhanced security and logistical support in place to ensure a safe and spiritually fulfilling experience for all devotees.(KINS)
