Srinagar, Aug 27 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said he spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the flood situation in the Union Territory and apprised him of the extent of damage in the worst-affected areas.
“Spoke to Hon’ble PM @narendramodi Sb a short while ago. I briefed him about the situation in J&K from the worst-hit areas as I toured the parts of Jammu, along the banks of the Tawi, that saw a lot of damage yesterday. I’m grateful for his assurance of continued assistance to the people of J&K,” Omar said in a post.
The Chief Minister, who toured flood-affected areas along river Tawi in Jammu, said the government is closely monitoring the situation and coordinating relief and rehabilitation efforts.(KINS)
