Omar a ‘waiter’ can’t defend Article 370, Article 35-A: Imran Ansari

Srinagar, Apr 07 : Peoples Conference General Secretary and former minister Imran Raza Ansari on Sunday called National Conference vice president and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah a “waiter” and said that he can’t defend Article 370 and Article 35-A.

While addressing an election rally at Hanjiwera Pattan Ansari asked an enthusiastic crowd to come out to vote for defeating Akbar Lone and victory of PC candidate Raja Aijaz Ali. Ansari said Omar Abdullah has roots in Delhi and London but not in Kashmir where the brunt of detention has been worst faced by PC chairman Sajad Gani Lone.

Recalling that Sajad Gani Lone having himself spent 40 cruel days in infamous detention centre at Papa two in Srinagar has the feeling of torture of youth in detention cells, Ansari said, “There is no threat to Article 370 and Article 35-A but NC leaders are spreading canards to get votes in upcoming Lok Sabha elections and betray the people the way they have betrayed them in the past.” (KNS)
