Sumbal rape: Magam, Budgam towns shut for 4th consecutive day

Srinagar: A complete shutdown is being observed in Magam and Budgam towns on this central Kashmir district on the fourth straight day against the rape of a minor girl in Sumbal.

Reports said that authorities have imposed curfew-like restrictions in the two towns as a precautionary measure to prevent any law and order situation.
They said that the internet services continue to remain suspended for the fourth straight day.

Violent clashes were witnessed in the two towns over the past 3 days against the rape of a minor girl in north Kashmir’s Sumbal last week. The police has already arrested the accused.
