2 drug peddlers arrested in Handwara :Police

Handwara, Feb 26 : Handwara police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested two notorious drugs peddlers in two separate places and seizes 515 grams of charas from their possession.


A statement issued reads, in it’s continuous offensive against menace of drug abuse under the command of SP Handwara Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy-IPS, Handwara Police continues it’s war against drugs.


Based on reliable information a Naka was laid at Chotipora Crossing, Handwara.


During checking one person Parvaiz Ahmad Sheikh of Shalpora Langate was apprehended and 265 Gms of Charas was recovered from his possession the statement said.


In this connection case FIR No.31/2020 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS Handwara and investigation taken up.
In another incident a Naka was laid at Braripora Handwara on a specific input. During checking one person Farooq Ahmad Dar a resident of Lassipora Handwara was apprehended and recovered 250 gms of Charas from his possession.


In this connection, case FIR No.36/2020 U/S 08/20 NDPS act was registered in PS Handwara and investigation set into motion.
This effort is hugely hailed by the general masses.
