Police register 10 FIR’s against violators, book 14 persons, seize 3 vehicles in Srinagar

Srinagar, Apr 23,: Police in Srinagar on Thursday registered 10 FIR’s against lockdown violators, arrested 14 violators, and seized 3 vehicles.

In wake of Covid-19 threat, prohibitory orders are in vogue these days.

Police sources told that police station Nowgam filed 9 FIR’s and arrested 13 persons who were violating lockdown orders. Police Station Nowhatta arrested one Sheikh Basharat Ahmed of Nowshera Srinagar and seized his vehicle (JK02AE-9078).

Those who have been booked by police station Nowgam are Tanvir Hussain and Shabir Ahmed both residents of Budgam, Shabir Ahmed Dar of Nowgam, Feroz Ahmed, Irfan Haroon, Abdul Aziz Ganie, Umar Farooq Ganaie of Dangarpora, Reyaz Ahmed Tantray of Kanihama, Saleem Yousuf Bhat of Nowgam, Bashir Ahmed Dar, Yousuf Nisar of Batwara Srinagar, Sameer Ahmed of Dangarpora and Altaf Hussain Ganaie of Suthoo Kalan.

Two vehicles, JK16-2670 and JKO5A-1508 were also seized by the police. (KNT)
