IS module busted, three militants arrested in Srinagar: Police

SRINAGAR, Nov 25: Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested three militants who were inspired by the Islamic State (IS) in Srinagar.
A police spokesperson said on a specific input, Srinagar police ‘busted the IS inspired module and arrested three militants from Srinagar with the assistance of Delhi police.’
“At a naka checkpoint, a party of Srinagar Police intercepted a motorcycle borne militants who were moving through the Kothi Bagh area. Police acting swiftly apprehended the motorcyclist and the other two associates,” the spokesperson said.
He claimed that police recovered arms and ammunition w from the possession of the trio.
Police identified the trio as Tahir Ahmad Kha, a resident of Chandrigam Tral, Haris Mushtaq Khan, a resident of Wathoora Budgam and Asif Suhail Nadaf,a resident of Rainawari Srinagar.
“Police has registered a case FIR No 93/2018 PS Kothi Bagh under section 307 RPC, 16,18 ULA (P) Act read with 7/25 I.A. Act in this regard and further investigation in the matter is in progress,” he added.
