After failing class 12 exams Budgam girl commits suicide

Budgam, Jan 9, : A female student from Central Kashmir’s Budgam district committed suicide after cutting a sorry figure in Class 12th examination.

  Jammu Kashmir Board of School Education declared the Class 12 results for regular students on Monday evening in which Government School student exhibited excellent performance as compared to previous years.

  Yesterday, a girl student also attempted suicide in North Kashmir’s Sopore town. Reports said that a girl student (name withheld), daughter of Abdul Rashid Dar, who was studying at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Beerwah consumed some poisonous substance at her Chewdara residence after she failed to qualify the class 12 examination.

   She was referred to Sub-district hospital Beerwah where doctors declared her brought dead.

  A police official told CNS that they have registered a case vide FIR number 6/19 under section 309 RPC in this regard and investigation has been taken up.
