January 11: Srinagar police arrested a drug peddler in Khanyar area of district Srinagar and recovered codeine bottles from his possession.
A police party of Police Station Khanyar arrested a drug peddler during naka checking at Naid Kadal area of Khanyar in Srinagar.
The drug peddler namely Zahid Manzoor Mir son of Manzoor Ahmad mir resident of Daulat Abad Khanyar was arrested and a large quantity of banned codeine phosphate bottles were recovered from his possession.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 02/2019 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Khanyar and investigation taken up.
