MVD Baramulla unveils Wall Calendar

BARAMULLA, FEBRUARY 10: Assistant Regional Transport Officer Baramulla on Sunday unveiled the MVD’s Wall Calendar at Sanctorum College of Education here at LaladSopore coinciding with the valedictory function of 30th Road Safety Week with the theme “SadakSurakhsha Jeevan Raksha”.

Speaking on the occasion, the ARTO Dr Mohammad Zubair Lattoo said that this is for the first time in Jammu and Kashmir that such an initiative has been taken by the transport department and at the district level. He further said that calendar is very informative and displays message pertaining to road safety.

President Traders Federation Sopore, President Industries and Commerce, and students from various schools presented their views regarding safety measures to be taken while driving.

A cultural programme and Songs on traffic related laws was presented by Tulkul Cultural Academy. The theme of the show was safe and disciplined driving.

At the end, awards (mementos / certificates) were given away to the winners of the essay competition, while commendation certificate were given to the drivers found to be strictly obeying traffic rules.

Mohammed Ashraf War Chairman Sanctorum College of education presented vote of thanks.
