Srinagar, Feb 19, :  A day after a purported video about Deputy Mayor Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Sheikh Muhammad Imran went viral, he on Tuesday said that it was a doctored video aimed at to malign his image.

   A purported video that is viral   showing how the Deputy Mayor blowing his trumpet in front of an unknown person revealing how close he is both to separatist and mainstream politicians.

  Terming the video as doctored and fabricated, Sheikh Muhammad Imran urged upon Governor Satya Pal Malik to investigate the matter and punish the  guilty as per law.

  Sheikh Imran accused SMC Mayor Junaid Azim Matuu of hatching conspiracies against him. He said Matuu and his BJP lobby is hell bent to malign his image. “These are the screen shots of a WhatsApp group run and managed by SMC Mayor Matuu. Look, at them and check what Matuu and his aides are writing against me. They are hatching conspiracies against me,” he said while displaying screen shots to Reporters.

   Deputy Mayor Sheikh Muhammd Imran said that the recent incidents made it clear that he is an eye-sore for Junaid Matuu and his supporters. “First they raised JK Bank issue and then physically attacked me. Now they have come up with a ‘doctored’ video to defame me. This is disgusting,” he said while addressing a press conference here in Kashmir capital Srinagar. (CNS)
