Crackdown on JeI will push dissent further in Kashmir: Mirwaiz

 

Srinagar, Mar 3: Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Sunday termed the crackdown on Jama’at e Islami as undemocratic and said such anti-Kashmir and anti-Muslim moves will only push dissent further in Kashmir.

Taking to Twitter, Mirwaiz said the crackdown on Jama’at has affected thousands of students who study in Jama’at run schools across Kashmir.

“The undemocratic crackdown on JamateIslami  greatly affects the lives of thousands of students and poor people who study and are supported by institutions run by them, is a matter of great worry for all. Such anti Kashmir and anti Muslim moves will only push dissent further,” Mirwaiz tweeted.
