BSP supporter votes for BJP by mistake, chops off his finger

Uttar Pradesh: A Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supporter cut off his finger after he wrongly voted for the Bharatiya Janata Party in the second phase of Lok Sabha polls 2019.

Pawan Kumar, while casting his vote, wanted to hit the button for the BSP but instead hit the button for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The 25-year-old Dalit youth was frustrated after the error and could not control his emotions.

While Kumar wanted to vote for SP-BSP-RLD candidate Yogesh Sharma, he ended up voting for BJP candidate from the region Bhola Singh.

According to Pawan Kumar and his brother, they had gone to a polling booth set up in the village to cast vote in phase 2 of Lok Sabha elections 2019.

Kumar was rushed to a hospital but was soon discharged after his treatment. He has released a video of the incident on social media.
