Father-son die , two others injured as car falls into deep gorge in north Kashmir

Uri, May 24 : Two members of a family died, while two others suffered injuries after a car they were travelling in met with an accident in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday evening.

Reports reaching said that the vehicle (Alto 800) skidded of the road and rolled down into a deep gorge near Garkote village of Uri sector.

In the mishap, four persons including father and his three sons boarding the vehicle were injured critically, they said.

In the meantime all the injured were taken to sub district hospital Uri.

A doctor at Uri hospital told news agency that they have received four injured persons, two of them were declared brought dead on arrival.

The doctor identified the deceased as Parvaiz Ahmed Khawaja Ganai (42) son of Haji Ata Mohammad Ganie and his son Danish Ahmed (10).

He identified the injured brothers as Shahid Ahmed (13 ) and Suhail Ahmed (11).

The doctor further said that Shahid Ahmed (13) has been reffered to Srinagar hospital for specialised treatment while Suhail Ahmed (11) is undergoing treatment in the hospital.

A police official also confirmed the incident to news agency and said a case has been registered and further investigation has been taken up. (GNS)
