Gunfight Rages in Anantnag Villlage

Srinagar, June 18: In less than 24 hours another Gunfight rages between militants and government in Anantnag district, this time in Waghoma area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Reports said that a joint team of Army’s 3RR and SOG Anantnag cordoned off Waghoma area.

A senior Police officer told news agency that contact has been established with hiding militants after having credible inputs about their presence in the area.

As per the sources two three JeM militants are believed to be trapped including some foreigners.

As this report was being filed intermittent firing was going on.(GNS)
