NC leaders confident of a major win in Gulmarg during Assembly Polls

Srinagar, Jun 27: Expressing confidence of a major win in Gulmarg Constituency, National Conference leaders Thursday said that the party has fielded one of the best candidates from the Constituency who would turn the tables in the upcoming assembly polls.

The party leaders while addressing a large gathering of workers at Kunzer appreciated the party candidate Farooq Ahamd Shah, who has been already nominated by Party President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah, for his public outreach said his hard work was bound to yield results.

Meanwhile party’s candidate Farooq Ahmad Shah in his address said that the Constituency had been ignored on all fronts by local MLAs from last 16 years leaving people in distress .The former bureaucrat said that people are upbeat with the revival of the NC in the tourism famed Constituency and were providing huge support to the party at all levels which has made the revival process very easy. He appreciated workers for reposing faith in him and party leadership and said Omar Abdullah was the driving force for each and every worker of the party who have committed themselves for bringing the National Conference to power. The former IAS officer vowed to bring a revolutionary change in the developmental scenario of the Constituency and said the development was the main mantra of National Conference.

Meanwhile Party General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar and others also appreciated Shah for his tireless efforts in reviving the party in the Gulmarg Constituency. They assured full support to Shah. (KNS)
