Hundreds of Grade II and III Teachers without salaries and ordes from past 9 months

JKRETTF demands immediate release, threatened to protest

Srinagar/Jammu, Nov 28 : Hundreds of Rehabar- e-Taleem converted Grade II and III teachers are with out salaries from past more than nine months and hundreds are waiting for their Grade II orders from months due to unknown reasons.

In a statement issued here the Jammu and kashmir Rehabar-e-taleem teachers forum(JKRETTF) demanded immediate release of pending dues and orders of teacher Grade II and III. According to a press release issued to media the forum Chairman Farooq Ahmed Tantray said that after the historic decision taken by Governor administration in 2018 about fourty thousand teachers were converted In to Grade II and III from RET, however hundreds from them are still waiting for their orders.

He said that the undergraduate teachers who were converted into grade III were paid only one month salary from their pending nine months. He more said that the Education volunteers(EV) converted RET converted grade second are also waiting for their orders in both the directors of the state. He said that the orders of teachers who accuquired their degrees from out side the state recognised universities are also pending from month’s.
‌Forum Chairman said that for the conversion process the divisional level committees constituted in bothe director offices of the education department are harrising the teachers on the name of verificiations when their Verifications were already done by the JKBOSE and the concerned universities and they were again asked for the same verificiations. He said that teachers are in mental depression due to pending dues and unnecessary harassment on the name of verificiations.

Tantray said that one teacher Grade III namely Fayaz Ahmed Sofi from zone Chadora of Budgam yesterday died during duty hours who was with out salary from past Nine months.

Forum appealed the LG and chief secretary of the state to intervine into the matter and release the pending dues and orders of the teachers who are waiting from months. They said that if their salary and orders were not release soon they will come on roads again and the concerned officers of the education department will be responsible for the same.
