Anti-Corruption Day: Activist stages protest; seeks LG’s intervention for eradication of corruption

Srinagar Dec 09: An activist who was beaten drum on the eve of anti-corruption day on Monday appeared in Press Enclave and staged protest. He appealed government to take stringent measures to end the corruption in J&K.

According to news agency, Ali Mohammad who appeared in Press Enclave Srinagar here gathered the attention of media personnel and passersby on the eve of anti-corruption day while striking drum repeatedly.

Ali, amid harsh chill while talking to media said, “Today (09th of December) is being observed anti-corruption day across and my little effort of beating drum is aiming to get the attention of government for early eradication of corruption from Jammu and Kashmir”.

He said, J&K has witnessed huge corruption and it needs treatment. He said “Be it official of lower rung employee, everybody is indulged in corruption which needs absolute uprootingthrough proper treatment”.

While chanting anti-corruption slogans, the activist appealed Lieutenant Governor LG Murmu’s intervention for early eradication of this menace. (JKNS)
