Lt Governor greets people on Lohri, Makar Sankranti

JAMMU, JANUARY 12: Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu has extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasions of Lohri and Makar Sankranti.

In his message, the Lt Governor observed that these festivals are a celebration of our traditional ethos and culture symbolizing a fresh beginning and prosperity. This occasion reminds us of the hard work of our farmers and the bounty of nature brings the promise of further growth and progress.

The Lt Governor prayed for the well-being and happiness of the people and wished that these festivals would herald a lasting peace, progress and prosperity in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
