Budget 2020 : People across the party lines disappointed with the Budget proposal

“We were expecting special package for J&K”

Srinagar, Feb 1 :  The first union Budget presented today in parliament had disappointed people across the party lines which was the first budget since Article 370 was abrogated and the state became a union territory.

The center has announced Rs 30, 757 crore for J&K and Rs 5,958 crore for Ladakh.

J&K Congress Chief Ghulam Ahmed Mir told KNS that today’s budget reflects that people in New Delhi are not well wishers of J&K.  It again proved that BJP believes in empty slogans and do nothing practically. After Post August 5, Rs 300 crore loss happened in Kashmir, we thought at least BJP will announce package for J&K to address the loses of different sectors, but it was mere illusion.  This is a Pakoda budget.  It proved us right, BJP doenst want development in J&K.

Taking to news agency, Ghulam Hassan Mir, Democratic Party Nationalist Chief said Budget is good development for J&K. People are not satisfied with the budget. But we were expecting some special package to compensate the losses to different sector in J&K after August 5. We were expecting some major announcement for welfare of J&K, but nothing happened. A special package for Agriculture, horticulture, tourism sector was expected, but  people of J&K are disappointed.

Regarding the today’s Budget announcement of center for J&K, Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen Peoples Democratic Front Chief said that there is nothing for common man in the Budget. They have increased the income tax slab. But that has nothing to do with poor man who struggles for basic things in life. There is no employment package. If employment increases, money will circulate, economy will grow. There is no mention of special package for J&K , It is big disappointment for people of J&K.  (KNS).
