Bhartiya Janata Party J&K spokesman Altaf Thakur: Eid reminds us to take care of the poor, destitute and downtrodden and it is the utmost duty of the people across J&K, especially Kashmir to take care of the poor lot in their localities.
He prayed that may this Eid turn as the harbinger of peace, prosperity, and development in the J&K UT. BJP leader urged people to follow the Covid-protocol and to maintain social distance and to stay home on this festival and not to put the lives at risk. Thakur also hailed Covid warrior’s including police, SMC employees, doctors, para medics, ambulance drivers for remaining on the fore front of fight against Covid-19, stating it was because of the commitment of these brave hearts that Kashmir has somehow succeeded in its fight against pandemic to a large extent. He said that all the guidelines issued by the government should be followed in spirit and that no large gathering should be held on the occasion of Eid as that’s for the betterment of humans and humanity as the Covid is an invisible enemy that people of globe are fighting.
