Admin orders closure of 3 hospitals in Anantnag


Srinagar May 30: Medical facilities in three hospitals in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district have been closed.

An order issued by DC Anantnag, a copy of which lies with news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) reads, “Whereas during reverse contact tracing of some Covid-19 Positive pregna, ladies, it has come to fore that they have visited the following medical establishments indication them as the probable source of infection. Bismillah Diagnostic Centre, Mattan, Al-HaYat Nursing Home, Anantnag and Gatoo Diagnostics, Bijbehara. Whereas in order to rule out the suspicion and as a prophylactic measure, it is necessary to close the said establishments to prevent the spread of disease.””Now. therefore, in view of the above I. K. K. Sidha (KAS) District Magistrate, Anantnag, in exercise of powers vested to me under Section 144 of the CrPC, Section 34 of National Disaster Management Act. 2005 and provions of the Epidemics Diseases Act, 1897 do hereby order the closure of aforesaid medical establishments further orders.

The owners of these establishments shal, provide the particulars of all employees (medical / non-medical / supporting staff) to concerned block medical officers, who will carry out their sampling on priority and furnish test reports for further course of action Tehsildar. Block Medical Office, and SHO convene shall immediate close these medical facilities and report immediate compliances,” the order reads.
