Youth, several animals injured in cross border shelling in Poonch

Poonch, May 31: A 25 year old, several animals were injured after Pakistan violated ceasefire violation on Saturday along LoC in Balakote and Mendhar sectors in District Poonch.

A police officer told news agency that yesterday at about 2300 hours, Pak initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with Small Arms & intense shelling with Mortars along LoC in Balakote & Mendhar sectors.

In this incident one person, several animals were injured. The injured has been identified as Mohd Yasir (25) son of Mohd Rashid resident of Gohlad Mohalla Navni, who was subsequently shifted to Sub district hospital Mendhar for treatment, the officer said.

Meanwhile whole area of Navni Gohlad went into darkness after a shell landed on the High tension wire.(GNS)
