Altaf Bukhari grieved over demise of Janak Singh Sodhi



 
 
SRINAGAR, June 1: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Monday expressed deep shock and grief over the demise of Janak Singh Sodhi, a prominent Sikh leader of Jammu and Kashmir.
 
In a condolence message issued here, Bukhari said that Late Sodhi was a thorough gentleman who worked with utmost devotion for the welfare of people especially the Sikh community.
 
“Mr. Sodhi remained active in Kashmiri politics for many years. Whatever the platform he availed during his lifetime, he worked with extreme dedication for the empowerment of his community.  He was a great social activist, religious leader an d a philanthropist who would extend all possible help to the needy,” Bukhari remarked.  
 
While expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, Bukhari prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. “Mr. Sodhi’s demise has created a void which is hard to be filled.  I pray for endurance to the bereaved family, his friends, relatives and acquaintances to bear this irreparable loss,” Bukhari observed.
