Awareness programme organised on World Day against Child Labour in Anantnag

Anantnag June 13 (KINS): On World Day against Child Labour, Childline Anantnag organized an awareness programme in a slum area of Bijbehara Anantnag.

The slum dwellers were sensitized about the hazardous impact of child labour.

Sujahat Farhan Coordinator Childline Anantnag, mobolized the masses more about the importance of child education. He highlighted the audience about the punishments defined by the child labour act. Simultaneously, the Childline team awakened children about the preventative measures of combating covid-19.

Meanwhile, 100 face masks were distributed among the slum dwellers. Towards the end of the programme, Naseer and Javaid, team members of Childline Anantnag sensitized children about the services of Childline and encouraged children and concerned adults to dial 1098 in case of any emergency.

Moreover, the Childline team in collaboration with Humanity Welfare Organisation Helpline Bijbehara handed over hand sanitizers to District Maternity and Child Care Hospital. (KINS)
