Director Horticulture oversees auction of fruit crops

SRINAGAR, JUNE 13: Director Horticulture Kashmir, Mr Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, today paid a visit to district Ganderbal to oversee auction of fruit crop of departmental orchards.

On the occasion he took stock of various activities in the departmental nurseries, interacted with the fruit growers and other stakeholders who put forth their problems related to plantation, marketing, processing and other Horticulture related issues.

Director Horticulture assured the, fruit growers and other stakeholders that their genuine problems will be addressed and instructions were given to the officers and field staff to provide every possible support and guidance to the orchardists for development of Horticulture in the district.

Later on a he also chaired a meeting of Sub Committee of SLEC for examination of projects received from private entrepreneurs related to C.A.Stores, Reefer Vans, Ripening chamber at Directorate of Horticulture Rajbagh.

After proper examination the deficiencies in some of the DPRs was found and concerned entrepreneurs were directed to complete the deficiencies and submit the same as per check list for  further  course of action.
