Forces launch search operation in Ananthnag village

Srinagar, June 24 (KINS) : Forces on Wednesday afternoon launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in a village in South Kashmir after receiving inputs about the presence of militants, official sources said.

They said on a tip off about the presence of militants, soldiers from 19 Rashtriya Rifles, Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint search operation at Sadoora area of district Ananthnag.

A police officer told KINS, following inputs about presence of suspecious movement search operation was launched, he said house to house searches are underway in the area.

Pertinently, Two militants and a CRPF man were killed in a Gunfight on Tuesday in Pulwama District.(KINS)
