LG visits Ganderbal, reviews developmental scenario

Lieutenant Governor (LG), Manoj Sinha visited Ganderbal in central Kashmir on Tuesday and reviewed developmental scenario in the district, besides taking stock of COVID19 management.

Sources told Greater Kashmir that the LG chaired a high level meeting of officers at mini secretariat Ganderbal. Advisor to the LG Baseer Ahmed Khan, Chief Secretary BVR Subramanyam, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir PK Pole, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar besides several senior officers of civil and police administration were present during the meeting.

The LG e-inaugurated some developmental projects as well.

During the meeting, the DDC Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal briefed the LG about various developmental works being undertaken and measures taken by the administration to effectively deal with the COVID19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, the LG is scheduled to meet and interact with some delegations including Chairpersons of Block Development Councils, Municipal Council members, Sarpanches and civil society members. The LG is also scheduled to visit Kangan sub division of Ganderbal as well later in day.

The visit of the LG comes amid a three day lockdown ordered by the district administration in Ganderbal district from August 17 upto August 19.
