Raju reviews progress on languishing development projects

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 18: Secretary, Jal Shakti Department, M. Raju today chaired a meeting to review the progress on various languishing projects of Jal Shakti department being funded by J&K Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation.

Secretary asked all the concerned HODs as well as Nodal officers to complete the projects in a time bound besides initiating the process of billing of non-progressive projects.

The meeting was attended by the Director Finance, Jal Shakti Department Latif Ahmad Poswal, Director Planning, Jal Shakti Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti (PHE) Department , Jammu, Manish Bhat, Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti (PHE) Department , Kashmir, Iftikar Ahmad Wani, Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti (I&FC) Department , Kashmir, Iftikar Kakroo, Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti (I&FC) Department , Jammu, Himesh Manchanda and Nodal officers of concerned divisions while Jammu based officers attended the meeting through Video Conferencing.

M Raju reviewed division wise progress of these projects and cautioned the concerned Nodal officers against any laxity towards quality and timely completion of these development projects of vital significance.

He instructed them to complete the pending formalities, if any, and there should be no excuse in timely completion of these projects as well as uploading of bills on SIMS portal for receiving the payment from the JKIDFC Ltd.
