ARMY says, it organises blood donation camp at kigam kupwara

Srinagar, Oct 02 (KINS). The Army Friaday said that ablood donation camp was organised by Chak Kigam Army Camp under aegis of Charkut Garrision and Kilo Force in collaboration with Indian Red Cross society at Kigam, Kupwara in North Kashmir on eve of Gandhi Jayanti. In a statement issued to news agency KINS, the army said “During the event while many of the civilian and soldiers donated blood, Chairman of Block Development Council, Nutnussa (Kupwara) Ms Ashifa Begum and social worker Ms Hanifa Begum also came forward to participate in the initiative known for highest form of humanism”.

“A total of 56 individuals both including Army personnel and civilians counterparts voluntarily participated in the event. All the norms related to blood donation as well as COVID-19 pandemic were adhered to during the camp”.

“Awaam and team of doctors extended their gratitude to the Army for showing such humane approach for a noble cause. Army officers and organisers also thanked the Awaam, particularly female folk for their voluntarily participation and Red Cross Society for making the event successful” the statement reads.(KINS)
