Secretary HED releases book titled ‘Role of Teacher is Vital in Society’

SRINAGAR, JULY 06(KINS): Administrative Secretary Higher Education Department (HED), Sushma Chauhan, today released a book titled ‘ROLE OF TEACHER IS VITAL IN SOCIETY’ authored by Late Dr. Satya Pal Vaid at Civil Secretariat here.

Additional Secretary HED, Rakesh Badyal; Deputy Secretary HED, Vikas Dhar Bhagati and son of the late author, Ajay Vaid were also present on the occasion.

The book highlights the role of teacher as builders of Nation and civilization, character building in youth, as also their contribution to the society. The book also contains articles from various academicians, researchers and bureaucrats. It is a tribute to teachers from a teacher as author himself belonged to teaching faculty.

Late Dr. S.P Vaid has  more than 15 books to his credit on different subjects. He was decorated by State and National award. He was allotted two projects by I.C.S.S.R (Ministry of Human Resources, GoI) and one project by UGC. He served for four decades in Education Department.

His son Ajay Vaid being an author himself has also written on various topics and has recently released few books under the titles ‘Beyond alcoholism & Drug addiction’, ‘Self employability/employability skills’ and ‘Think big and positive’. (KINS)
