Jammu, Jul 7 (KINS)The Jammu Development Authority has offered a ‘summer bonanza’ to woo people for parking their vehicles at the newly constructed Multilevel Car Parking cum Commercial Complex here at the General Bus Stand.The JDA has also appealed to the public to ‘Hurry Up’ as offers last till August 15, 2021.
In an advertisement issued by the Jammu Development Authority, signed by its Vice Chairman, read that the JDA has decided to offer a special ‘summer bonanza’ to the general public by slashing the parking rates at Multilevel Car Parking cum Commercial Complex, General Bus Stand, Jammu.
“Hurry up! Offer valid from July 1 to Aug 15, 2021 only,” read the advertisement.
It further read that the new parking rates for four wheelers are Rs 10 for one hour, Rs 20 for two hours, Rs 25 for three hours, Rs 30 for four hours, Rs 40 for five hours, Rs 45 for six hours, Rs 55 for seven hours and Rs 80 for 12 hours, Rs 2000/- per month for day and night parking, weekly package of Rs 600/-for day and night parking is also available, it read.The parking rates for two-wheelers will remain the same, read the advertisement.
Meanwhile, the locals while taking a jibe at the advertisement termed it a ‘mockery’.
The Multilevel Car Parking cum Commercial Complex was inaugurated by the Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on February 11, 2021 but the facility is yet to be made fully operational.
The new bus terminal was inaugurated by the Lieutenant Governor on February 11.
The General Bus stand, Multi-level Car Parking cum Commercial Complex was constructed at the cost of worth Rs 213.08 crore. Constructed by Jammu Development Authority (JDA), the new facility has built-up area of around 60,064 sqm, having a parking capacity of 80 Buses in bus terminal, 1312 cars, 177 two-wheelers and 239 commercial shops, besides dedicated space for restaurants and food courts.( Source UNI )
